Students Across the State Await Class 12 Scores Amid High Tension
Kolkata, May 6 — The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) has announced that the HS (Class 12) results for 2025 will be declared on May 7 at 1 PM. Over 8.5 lakh students who appeared for the board exams this year are eagerly awaiting their results, which will be made available on the official websites and via SMS.
The results will be accessible at:
Mark sheets will be distributed to schools for student collection from May 8 onward.
Result Briefing and Digital Access
As per tradition, a press briefing will be held at the WBCHSE headquarters in Salt Lake, where the pass percentage, toppers list, district-wise performance, and gender ratio will be disclosed.
To avoid last-minute server congestion, the Council has increased server bandwidth and encouraged students to check results online or through SMS services rather than crowding school premises.
What’s Next for Students?
Students who wish to apply for re-evaluation or photocopy of answer scripts can do so between May 9 and May 16 via the council’s online portal. Those appearing for competitive exams like JEE, NEET, or CUET will now be able to focus fully on their preparations with clarity on board marks.
The Higher Education Department is expected to open UG admission portals within a week of the results, following a centralized counselling format introduced in 2024.
Board’s Statement on Academic Integrity
In a public message, WBCHSE President Dr. Chiranjib Bhattacharya assured students and parents that “all evaluation procedures were conducted with full transparency and rigor.” He also highlighted that this year’s question papers emphasized conceptual clarity and real-life application.
